The Lodge Oyster Bay Accommodation

Beachside Accommodation

Oyster Bay Beach Lodge was contructed in 2004 from local pine wood and thatch to blend into the natural surroundings. The Lodge is within casting distance from the Ocean and has fantastic Seaviews from all the rooms and a short walk will take you to a 6 km unspoilt golden beach.

Oyster Bay is well known as an Anglers Paradise and has numerous nature walks along the beach or rocks.

Birdwatching can be very rewarding and Shorebirds as well as Forest dwelling Birds can be spotted.

In the Winter Months Southern Right Whales are often spotted very close to shore and Brydes or Mink Whales are often spotted deeper at sea. Killer and Humpback Whales have also been spotted from the Lodge. Dolphins are often spotted playing in the waves direct in front of the Lodge and Cape Clawless Otters, Cape Fur Seals and numerous Shark Species have also been spotted.

Kite surfing has become very popular at Oyster Bay due to the strong West or East winds blowing across the bay and our large sand dunes has become popular with Sand Boarders.

Day drives to Addo Elephant Park and surrounding Private Game Farms can be arranged as well as to the famous Baviaanskloof Nature area with good 4x4Trails and stunning scenery.

The Brakkeduine 4x4 trail is only 12km from the Lodge. A Day trip can be a lot of fun - the Trail is graded 4

Our Public Bar serves Cold Beverages and light meals from our deck with stunning Seaviews.
